Supported Independent Living

Overview

SIL aims to enable individuals with disabilities to maintain their autonomy while living independently within the community.

The Supported Independent Living (SIL) program aims to enable individuals with disabilities to maintain their autonomy and freedom of choice while living independently within the community. Typically, participants with SIL funding reside in shared accommodations alongside others who also have approved NDIS SIL funding.

However, individuals with approved NDIS funding for supported independent living (SIL) can also receive assistance while living independently, although additional NDIS home and living support may be more suitable in certain cases.

Our support services for independent living are custom-tailored to manage the unique needs and preferences of each individual we serve. Through close collaboration with our clients, we develop personalised care plans encompassing the necessary support and services to help them achieve their goals and live independently.

Our support services for independent living surround various areas, including:

  1. Personal Care: We assist with essential daily activities like dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.
  2. Household Assistance: Our team can lend a hand with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, ensuring a comfortable living environment.
  3. Community Engagement: We assist in accessing community services, accompanying individuals for shopping, appointments, and social activities, and fostering active participation and inclusion.
